California Farm Water Coalition
Farm Water News/Mike Wade
http://farmwaternews.blogspot.com/2012/02/news-articles-and-links-from-feb-14.html
(No matter how many times, how many different ways and over again, when one distills the problems in the Delta to root causes, inevitably and with consistency, the root cause of ecology problems in the Delta can be pinpointed to over-draft or exports of fresh water.  Every. Single. Time.  Striped Bass and Salmon co-existed quite well together and still do, when the water flows are correct within the historical pre- and early export numbers.  I'm not against export of Delta water to the South of Delta interests; I want exports to be within the framework and legal context of original contracts, etc.  Respect those original contractual terms and we would more likely 'naturally' solve a huge bunch of the BS that's currently being thrown at us. Of course, that's not the game being perpetuated against the people of California...)

(This article and headline content is misleading.  According to this journalist, Mike Thompson (D-CA) and Mike Fitzpatrick (R-PA) were cleared of any ethics violations and no longer paying/filling legal defense fees.  However, this paragraph is buried in the article:
The re-election accounts of other lawmakers, including Reps. John Fleming (R-La.), Gregory Meeks (D-N.Y.) and Laura Richardson (D-Calif.), detail the cost of new and ongoing ethics cases, employment lawsuits and other legal and compliance issues, filings show.  (Emphasis mine)
Representative Thompson was cleared of all ethics charges, and in MHO, more important, no new or ongoing charges have been filed against him!  But I AM curious about these other politicians', re-election bids and continuing ethics violation charges.)
