It is hiding relevant material in plain sight, substituting truly meaningful access to public information with a mere data dump. This is especially the case in decisions and funding for the multibillion-dollar twin tunnels project, a pork-laden boondoggle that would starve the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta and San Francisco Bay of the fresh water flows needed to sustain jobs, fish and our economy.

Drakes Estero IG Report: Investigating the Investigators
RussianRiverTimes.com
http://russianrivertimes.wordpress.com/2013/03/02/drakes-estero-ig-report-investigating-the-investigators/

A series of reports on Drake's Estero and National Park Service's faulty science practices from Russian River Times.  My new favorite reporting site!!

Maybe there IS a reason for the National Academy of Science...Some of this rings a bit too familiar in BDCP science and documentation...
National Academy of Science (NAS) reviews, directed by Congress, found NPS claims of harm to be without merit.  In 2009, the NAS found that NPS scientific documents “selectively presented, over-interpreted, or misrepresented” data.  In 2012, the NAS review of the NPS Draft EIS found “a high level of uncertainty” with the document’s impact assessments for harbor seals, the coastal flood zone, water quality, soundscapes, and socioeconomics. The NAS determined  “there could be reasonable, equally scientific, alternate conclusions for impact intensity.”  That’s a very polite way of saying that the document is not worth the paper it’s printed on.
Salazar Oyster Farm Decision Hides from History and Abandons Science
http://russianrivertimes.wordpress.com/2013/01/23/salazar-oyster-farm-decision-hides-from-history-and-abandons-science/
There is no better example of the hypocrisy of Salazar’s recent decision than a recent private meeting held by NPS with the oyster workers in Point Reyes.  A two-hour recording reveals a community deeply worried about the future and two woefully unaware representatives from Salazar and one from Point Reyes National Seashore, who were blindly ignorant of the true impact that Salazar’s decision would have on the community. What is most telling about this meeting is that, despite all law, regulation and policy and the National Environmental Policy Act concerning environmental justice, it was the first meeting with the very stakeholders who would be most impacted by Salazar’s decision: the oyster workers themselves.

In a proxy water war fought as a game of political football, either side can take the smelt issue and “run with it” or “try to score points.”  Sometimes issues are “fumbled.”  Other times one side may decide to “quick punt” the issue to their opposition.  Or one side “intercepts” and scores a quick “pick six.”

What's Up With This?  These images were taken 3/02/13 just north of Walnut Grove Marina across from Dead Horse Island.  Besides the obvious silting in of the slough, looks like SFWCA is pumping as fast as they can.  When will anyone realize it is these pumping 'practices' or 'behaviors' that are the root cause of their manufactured 'crisis'???  Geez.

If you're a concerned citizen, a fishermen, a business person, a Delta public official,  a water policy wonk, a farmer, an environmentalist, a rotary club member, a church leader, a youth leader, an educator, a union representative, a boater, an artist, a chef who cares about local food production, a student, a stay-at-home-parent, then this event is for you.

Implementation of the Bay Delta Conservation Plan would not help augment a tightening water supply. The entire peripheral tunnels project is based on a series of myths generated by a few huge water-takers who get most of the water for unsustainable farming on arid land.

Agenda 21/Sustainable Development

Dixon Councilman Thom Bogue said after the state took away Redevelopment Agency funding, the city was put in a position to only get money from regional entities.

He admitted that listening to the presentation put some of the decisions he's made into question.

Gass added that it's about local control and to drop out of being a member of ABAG, a voluntary organization.

My point is this: the changes that are being called for between the Georgia Guide stones and UN Agenda 21 are extremely similar (such as population control, a world court, preservation of the earth, and sustainable development.)

2nd Amendment News
The Second Amendment is part of an overall Congressional bill known as "the Bill of Rights" -- the first 10 amendments to the Constitution. The first 10 amendments were presented to the states as one entity for approval. Although originally the bill contained more than 10 amendments, the states whittled them down to 10, the ones on which they all could find common agreement.

"Shall not be infringed" prohibits government from placing any restrictions whatsoever upon the citizens to use guns and ammunition in self-defense. And self-defense in this instance includes but is not limited to resistance to a tyrannical government, which the Framers feared would one day spring up in our own nation.

(You keep telling yourself that Mz. Feinstein.)
However, I believe the greatest threat to our liberty and long-term prosperity is actually the decline of personal responsibility. If you don’t believe social and moral decay is at the heart of our nation’s decline, then it’s time to take a moment and look at the big picture and understand that this is something that affects everyone….poor, rich, and middle-class. This is a human nature problem, and we are all accountable.

America, you better sit up and take notice. Our veterans are being disarmed in total and the process is emanating from executive decree through our federal bureaucracies. No judge, no jury, has declared these veterans, who received the disarmament letters within the past week, to be mentally infirm. This is a thinly veiled draconian effort to take guns out of the hands of people who know how to use them.

Leftist Governor Pat Quinn is not likely to provide Illinois residents with the 2nd Amendment rights to which they are entitled. The 7th Circuit has given lawmakers till mid-year to write a constitutional law.  Don’t be surprised if the state is once again before the bench by year end.

In a stunning move last week, four states (Indiana, Colorado, Montana, and Arizona) successfully advanced anti-NDAA legislation. The goal for each bill is to protect the people of that state from indefinite detention under the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2012.
