(Note to Bubba:  The entire area of the Legal Delta's Primary and Secondary Zones very much belong to us and it IS our responsibility to protect and defend our homes, livelihoods, natural resources and legacies for generations to come.  FYI...some families in the greater Delta region ARE the ones that were here long before gold was ever discovered.

Mayor Johnston has it completely right when she says we will lose local land use control, and this is more Sustainable Development perpetuated upon us entitled Delta Vision Strategic Plan and SB7-X Legislation.  Right on, Mayor!)

(Good write-up, although I take exception to the ending of the article.  The people who attended this round table in Stockton represented the demographics and subject matter of direct concerns specific to the general area.

In agriculture, (quite frankly is the bull's eye on the Target of Takings), it is the people in their 40's and UP who are directly responsible for the management of their lands, the planning for estates, legacies to be protected and enhanced under their tenure as Custodians and Conservators to their future generations.  And in this region of the Delta and valley they tend to be white.

Move another round table discussion closer to or within metropolitan areas that will address more urban issues, I'd bet a dime on a dollar, the people in the room would be a direct representation of the demographics of that area, too.  Let's not go creating issues where none exists, please.)

Or, as a gleeful Nunes said of the two senators: "Now they've got to fight for their environmental wacko friends."

(Nooo, what we have up here in the Sacramento/Northern Delta area are other farmers and conservatives that have had absolutely no equal representation based upon values and not politics at the table and are now forced to side with the so-called 'wacko' friends of Feinstein and Boxer to stop a full-fledged heist.  Oh what a hypocritical web she has spun.)

County Farm bureau Backs Water Reliability Act

(It is really sad that the Farm Bureau doesn't recognize this for the gaming of the federal system it is; or put another way, virtually eliminates California state law and sovereignty.  This bill is BAD for every citizen in the state that is not a direct beneficiary within Westlands Water District and Stewart Resnick.

There are better, more constructive ways to resolve California's water issues than this.  The consequences of this bill intended or otherwise are incredibly dangerous.)

(Glacial Milk (glacial ice melt) is the substance of which ocean waters are replenished.  Human blood plasma, plant chlorophyll and concentrated ocean water all contain the same 92 natural elements in their exact order and proportion to survive and thrive.  Maybe Nature knows more than some of us arrogant human creatures, in that no matter what we do to our landscapes and resources, unintentional or premeditated, Nature will heal itself.)

Water Wired: Edwards Aquifer Authority v. Day Case
http://aquadoc.typepad.com/waterwired/2012/02/jesse-j-richardson-jr-opines-summary-of-the-e-a-a-v-day-case.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+typepad%2Fwaterwired+%28WaterWired%29

This case is extremely important for those involved in water resources.  The case joins several other state supreme courts that have recently found that groundwater rights are legally recognized rights subject to constitutional protection.  In addition, the finding that landowners have a property right to groundwater “in place” is powerful.  This means that the landowner’s right is not merely a right to use, as has been found in other states, but the right to the groundwater beneath their property before it is withdrawn.

Although this case is binding only in Texas, the result will likely have implications across the United States.
