(Important information from Mike Machado, Delta Protection Commission: "This is important to tell DWR that the Delta shouldn't settle for a lessor standard that is being proposed". It is critical in-Delta residents and interests attend. Scholarships are available for this conference. Contact the Water Education Foundation from the link above for scholarship information.
Scholarships are 50% or $65 instead of $125 per person. I've applied for mine! Please take advantage of scholarship opportunities so we may continue to be involved in this ever-increasing expensive and time-consuming progress.

(What I would like to know now is, how in the world do these mammals develop 'pre-cancerous genital herpes'?? Maybe a direct reflection of the toxins and altered natural processes in our ocean and fresh water environments? Maybe lack of enough wild food for them? Maybe surfaces they scoot along?? Well, regardless of the source, it is disturbing.
I'm not a fan of indiscriminate 'takings' of wildlife, but if sea lions appearing in this dam have this disease, maybe euthanizing them is the kinder, humane thing to do...just saying.)
