(What's wrong with these two articles? The first complains about ballast water in the Great Lakes introducing zebra mussels into the ecosystem. OK, that was unforeseen and these Asian mussels have devastated OUR native ecosystem, but have marvelously adapted to their NEW ecosystem...which is why this second article is disturbing.
"They" want to bring in glaciers from Alaska to the Colorado River watershed. Let's be logical. Ice/water coming from Alaska, a completely different climate into a climate that will melt said glaciers, thus introducing into the Colorado River watershed microorganisms we know next to nothing about. How will they mutate, excuse me...adapt to their new environment when they've literally been laid on ice since the water first froze?
Come on...how's about we do a better job of adapting OUR demands on the earth to better align with the natural cycles Nature genuinely seems to operate upon?...just pointing out the inconsistencies all of us have to wade through.)
